 From IGU to Kutsal Damacana 4 Movie Set!


Deniz Doğan, a second-year student at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, and fourth-year student Yusuf Uz, took part in the set of the Kutsal Damacana 4 movie.


The film set of the Kutsal Damacana 4, directed by Kamil Çetin and starring famous actors such as Şafak Sezer, Müjde Uzman and Ersin Korkut, and presented as the sequel to the Kutsal Damacana movie series, also included students from the Radio, Television and Cinema Department of Istanbul Gelişim University Fine Arts Faculty. In the movie, Deniz Doğan, a second-year student from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, and Yusuf Uz, a fourth-year student, served as assistant directors and had the opportunity to experience the cinema set of a feature-length film.

“One of my biggest goals is to make a comedy movie.”

Yusuf Uz, who took part in the project as an assistant director, has been in the team from the very beginning of the project. Uz, who has been actively involved in the sets of TV series and feature films in the industry, stated that one of his biggest goals is to make a comedy movie, so he was proud to be on the set of a comedy movie with masters. The film, which took about 20-25 days to shoot, was shot in various parts of Istanbul. Stating that they shot in a large villa as the main venue, Uz underlined that he learned a lot from the set and advised his friends who want to work in the sector to experience the set environment by establishing the right contact for the unit they want to work in, in which position or unit.

“An Unforgettable Moment and Experience”

Deniz Doğan, who worked as a director's assistant in the project, stated that he was happy to be on the set of a big production. Describing working with people who have worked in the sector for years as an unforgettable memory and experience, Doğan underlined that this job is a job that is done with love and will. He added that it was an enjoyable work pace as well as tiring.
