Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker is a Permanent Jury Member at the International Frankfurt Turkish Films Festival!

Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker, who is in the team of the International Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival as a permanent member of the jury despite the changing jury members every year, will undertake the duty of the jury between 11-16 June this year. It is known that there will be an intense participation in the festival, where the national film script competition will be held for the first time this year. Encouraging all department students to apply for the festival, Paker appreciated the International Frankfurt Turkish Film Festival, which acts with the vision of being a supportive festival, for this vision.

“Support Platforms Need to Expand”

Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker stated that the International Frankfurt Turkish Films Festival took an important step with the national screenplay competition. He stated that support platforms are important in today's world where production becomes more difficult due to the increasing budgets of projects. Emphasizing that long-established festivals stand at an important point in providing support to the production of projects, Paker emphasized the need for support platforms to become widespread and underlined the importance of using such platforms especially for university students or new graduates who will realize their first projects.

Applications continue for the National Screenplay Competition

The National Screenplay Competition, in which scripts of 60 minutes or more are accepted, is open to projects that have not been filmed before. The international jury, consisting of Turkish and German jury members, will evaluate the applicant projects and announce the winning scenario on the closing night of the festival. Financial and co-production support will be provided by the festival to the winning project or projects.
