Research on construction management conducted by Asst. Prof. Kadir Öz, Head of the Interior Architecture Department at Istanbul Gelisim University’s (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, has been published in the *International Journal of Construction Management* (Q1 category). The study presents a data-driven decision-support model that proactively identifies risks in the pre-architectural-permit phase. An article titled "A DSM-based decision-support framework for proactive risk identification in pre-licensing project processes," authored solely by Asst. Prof Kadir Öz—Head of the Interior Architecture

Department at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts—has been published in the Q1-ranked *International Journal of Construction Management*.
Key Features of the Developed Model The research, published in a Q1 journal, combines the Design Structure Matrix (DSM) with weighted scoring models to identify risks of inefficiency and delay in pre-licensing design processes before they materialize:
•             Matrix and Data Integration: Dependencies between tasks and stakeholders were analyzed using a weighted DSM model and integrated with historical project records, revision frequencies, and delay impacts.
•             Critical Risk Nodes: Twenty-six key work steps in the project processes were evaluated. The analysis identified design development, coordination, and implementation project phases—specifically architectural implementation and fixture detailing—as the highest-risk nodes.
•             BIM and Digital Twin Compatibility: The model provides a data infrastructure capable of direct integration with Building Information Modeling (BIM) Execution Plans (BEP) and digital twin environments.
•             High Reliability: Sensitivity analyses and transferability tests conducted across five different scenarios demonstrated that the model operates with 80.8% class stability and 97.7% ranking correlation.
This study by Asst. Prof. Kadir Öz, published in a Q1 journal, is significant for reducing delay costs in pre-licensing processes and supporting data-driven decision-making in digital construction management.
