 Third Prize for 'Fine' Film at the 2nd Black Cat Award International Film Festival!


The short film 'Fine' (İyi), directed by Kayra Öcal, a student of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, won the third prize at the Black Cat Award International Film Festival, which was held for the second time in this year.


Kayra, who is a student of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, is among the thirty projects that made it to the finals at the Black Cat Award International Film Festival, which was held for the second time this year with the slogan “Art for humanity, children and cinema”. Öcal's film 'Fine' was awarded the third prize.

The film, which was awarded the third prize in the best documentary category in the festival, which has many categories such as the best film, the best short film, the best documentary, the best animation, the best experimental, the best music video, and the best trailer,focuses on the depersonalization of the individual with a critical and allegorical language. Kayra Öcal has directed and edited the film, which was selected at the Lift-off Filmmaker Sessions, First-Time Filmmaker Sessions and Scout Film Festival Emerging Filmmakers Grant film festivals. Uğur Koldancı played the lead role, Çağrı Kurt, Batuhan Çolak and Elif Hatipoğlu were the supporting actors, Deniz Can Güzel was the sound technician, and Ayşegül Konuk was the light conductor.
