 The Twelfth of the Stars in the Vision Series was Held with the Title of “Cinema and Novel at a Glance”


The twelfth event of the Stars in Vision series organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema department, was held under the title of "Cinema and Novel at a Glance" with the participation of Cengis T. Asiltürk.


Organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, the twelfth event of the Stars in Vision series was held on Thursday, December 23 at 14.00 at the Faculty of Fine Arts, E Blok TUSI Conference Hall. In the event moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr.Önder Paker, Cengis T. Asiltürk was the guest. In the event, the relationship between novel and cinema was discussed.
 
Writer, director and academician Assoc. It started by talking about Cengis T. Asiltürk's work and his way of working. Asiltürk said that cinema and literature have some differences, but he himself said, "Words are images" by Roland Barthes. based on the idea that he benefited from the similarities of both arts; While doing this, he stated that he was fed by daily life. In the continuation of his speech, Asiltürk talked about the benefits of being an assistant in three films of Ömer Kavur, the master director of Turkish Cinema, and how an ideal literary adaptation should be.
 
The event ended with the answer by Cengis T. Asiltürk. At the end of the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker was presented a plaque to Cengis T. Asiltürk.
