The Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema organized an event titled "The Short's Long Journey" in order to introduce students to the production processes in the field of short films. The screening of the short film Home Cooking, organized within this scope, took place with the participation of the director of the short film, Ahmet Toğaç. The event was moderated by Eda Türkay, a research assistant at the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, who also produced the film.

The movie "Home Cooking" by director Ahmet Toğaç, who is also a member of the Apart Sanat Association, one of the external stakeholders of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, met with the audience at the event. In the talk held after the screening, Toğaç made a comprehensive presentation about the film's creative process. The director, who sincerely shared all the stages from the idea stage to the script, from the preliminary preparation to the shooting process and the post-production stage, also answered the questions of the participants. Toğaç, who also talked about the film's festival journey, expressed that he was pleased with the response the film received from the audience.
The event, where producer Eda Türkay shared her comments about her experiences before and during the set, touched on the place of the amusement park, one of the main locations of the film, in the story. Answering questions about how the difficult direction management at the amusement park was overcome, Toğaç stated that they had an enjoyable set in every way.
During the talk, Toğaç, who drew attention to the creative opportunities as well as the difficulties of short film production, shared his experiences especially about the process of working with child actors. He emphasized what he experienced during the process of creating the performance of the child character in the film and the contributions of this process to his directing practice.
The event, which attracted great interest from the students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, turned into an inspiring meeting for young filmmaker candidates.
