The Social Responsibility Project "Let's Create Sustainable Sectors"; led by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu, and Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin from the Department of Radio Television and Cinema and the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts took place under the title "Sustainability in the Cinema Sector". A conversation with producer Hilal Şenel was held on November 3, 2023, at the Firnas Auditorium. Hilal Şenel, who produced the German-Turkish joint short film "Flight Mode" which has been shown at national and international festivals and has received awards and support from institutions like the Turkish Ministry of Cinema General Directorate, German TV channels
SWR and Arte, and has gained the Green Motion status during the festival distribution stage, explained topics such as "What is green production/green set?", "What are the requirements for a production to be considered green?", "What are the advantages and disadvantages of establishing green production in Turkey?" and "Is it possible to create a sustainable film industry?". Hilal Şenel shared her experiences on the set of "Flight Mode" and emphasized the importance of keeping the entire set team well-informed as a priority for establishing a sustainability-based set. She also mentioned that having a dedicated person responsible for sustainability on the set is crucial and being as flexible as possible is one of the key conditions for sustainability.
At the end of the event, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sezgin Savaş, presented a certificate of appreciation to Hilal Şenel after she answered students' questions.

project aims to identify new suggestions that will make the sectors sustainable. It is hoped that the relevant movement will spread and grow during and after the project and that the suggestions developed will be put into practice.
