The fifth of the Stars in Vision interview series organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Radio, Television and Cinema department was held with the participation of producer, director and writer Fehmi Gerçeker, with the title of Production, Management and Neurocinema.

In the interview, which was attended by producer, director and writer Fehmi Gerçeker as a guest, neurocinema, a new topic in Turkey, was discussed.

In the interview, in which the program called Behind the Camera, which won international awards and took part in the production of various documentary films and TV programs, producer and director Fehmi Gerçeker's program named Behind the Camera, which led to the selection of the TV producer of the month in the USA, comments were made about the sectoral developments abroad. The focus was on Fehmi Gerçeker's latest book, Neurocinema, who brought his experiences abroad and the books he wrote together with readers in Turkey. “Who makes the movies? Human or artificial intelligence?” Realer, who prepared the book based on the question, stated that neurocinema practices abroad have been around for a long time. He stated that with neurocinema, which he defined as a new science combining the human brain and cinema, it was possible to determine that there is a relationship between the stories that took place in history and the human brain. He explained that in neurocinema processes, based on Carl Jung's work, the reaction of a person who watches the movie with certain equipment is determined by watching the neuron movements of the person, and a formulation is made on these reactions in the scriptwriting. In this way, he stated that it is possible to realize projects that are always guaranteed to earn and that do not take risks.

Realer also answered the questions of the participants at the end of the event, pointing out that the viewing experience on digital platforms is becoming more widespread day by day, and stated that he predicts that neurocinema studies will begin to be implemented in these areas as well.

We would like to thank Fehmi Gerçeker for sharing his valuable knowledge and experience with us.
