 Support from FAF to International Uşak Short Film Festival!


Organized for the ninth time this year, the International Uşak Short Film Festival was supported by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF).


The 9th International Uşak Short Film Festival was held on 13-21 December 2022, in Uşak on 13-17 December, and in Istanbul on 19-21 December. The program, which was prepared with great devotion and meticulous work, attracted great attention in both cities. The festival, in which Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, was on the board of directors, was supported by the Faculty of Fine Arts.

As an organization built by qualified labor, the International Uşak Short Film Festival, which maintains its importance and uniqueness among the increasing number of short film festivals in Turkey, stands out with its "international" identity with the members of the jury, the films selected and connected to every corner of the World. The festival appeared in front of the audience for five days in Uşak and for three days in Istanbul, and distributed over thirty statuettes. The International Uşak Short Film Festival, which has made significant progress every year in terms of the number of spectators, the quality of the films sent to the festival and the recognition in the international community, has reached thousands of spectators this year, screening hundreds of films and hosting dozens of guests Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, who is on the festival's board of directors, stated that it is their greatest desire and goal for the festival to continue at the same pace of development in its tenth year and after.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) were among the supporters of the International Uşak Short Film Festival, which was held for the ninth time this year. During the three-day program of the festival in Istanbul, the students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department and the Communication and Design Department voluntarily joined the festival team and witnessed the realization process of a festival. During the three-day festival shooting, the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts worked with equipment belonging to the faculty.
