 Stakeholder Decision with Digiflame from Radio, Television and Cinema Department!


At the meeting held between Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), the Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, and Digiflame Productions, it was decided to sign an external stakeholder protocol.


The Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, which attaches great importance to cooperating actively with its external stakeholders, added a new one to the external stakeholder relations it has established with Görsak Academy, Ufkun Media, Apart Art Association, and Kadraj Production. Radio, Television and Cinema Department, which organizes events with its external stakeholders and sees stakeholder companies as a medium where students can gain experience both during internship and after graduation, decided to sign an external stakeholder protocol with Digiflame Productions, one of the most important companies in the sector in visual effects.

Head of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, vice Head of the Department asst. Prof. Dr. Rabiya Saltik and department research assistants Eda Çekemci and Okan Kırbacı attended the meeting. Founder Oğuz Öztürk and Merve Çetin from Digiflame Productions attended the meeting. In the online meeting, Oğuz Öztürk talked about the establishment process of Digiflame Productions. Expressing that he and his brother Celal Öztürk developed visual effects in different companies and specialized in this field, Öztürk stated that they finally decided to establish a company of their own with his brother and that they are now in the sector as both Digiflame Productions and Bros Film. Stating that they are most interested in the production part of the projects with Bros Film, Öztürk added that as Digiflame Productions, they are involved in the post-production stages of the projects and they mainly make vfx arrangements.

Head of Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan mentioned the external stakeholder relations of the university and the department and stated that establishing a stakeholder in the field of post-production would be very beneficial for the department. Doğan and Öztürk discussed issues such as the opportunity for students to do internships and the conditions under which they will be accepted for an internship and decided to establish a partnership and planned the activities to be held.

Oğuz Öztürk, who will organize a workshop titled Film Industry and VFX on April 5 as part of the Wednesday Workshops series held within the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, stated that he is looking forward to meeting the students.
