RTC Students' Double Major Success!

The free double major opportunity offered by Istanbul Gelişim University to its students allows students to improve themselves by studying in two separate departments and graduate with a double diploma. Students can apply to the Double Major Program if their GPA is 2.90 or higher. Elif Kurt, a second-year student of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, and Feymenur Yılmaz, a third-year student, were among the students who earned the right to do a Double Major.

While continuing her education as a sophomore in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Elif Kurt started her first-year education in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. Kurt stated that he decided to do a double major because it created diversity in job opportunities since he graduated from two different programs in the same period of time and also provided a versatile development. Adding that he was aware of the difficult aspects, Kurt stated that having knowledge in both fields was a valuable thing and that this value overshadowed the difficult aspects.

Feymenur Yılmaz, who is continuing her education as a third-year student in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, also started doing a double major in the Department of Psychology. Yılmaz, who preferred the Department of Psychology because she thought it would contribute to the education she received in her main department, added that doing a double major is an opportunity and that this opportunity should be evaluated, and that he recommended that every student apply and not miss the opportunity to develop themselves in two branches.
