Res. Asst. Eda Türkay's Short Film Project is at the 38th Cinekid Festival!

Res. Asst. Eda Türkay from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema completed the Home Cooking project, which she produced, in June 2024. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the İzmir International Short Film Festival, the project was selected for the international competition at the 38th Cinekid Festival held in the Netherlands.

The 38th Cinekid Festival will begin on Sunday, October 20th, with the opening film at Pathé Amsterdam Noord, followed by screenings of the finalist films.

Eda Türkay, who will be competing at the Cinekid Festival, known as the world’s most prestigious children's film festival, expressed their happiness about receiving this great news. She stated that together with the film’s director, Ahmet Toğaç, their primary goal when mapping out the project’s festival journey was to debut at a significant festival. Türkay added that being selected for such an established festival has given them great satisfaction, and they hope the film’s journey continues with the same level of success.
