The short film Aç Açına, produced by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, a research assistant at the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, won the Honorable Mention Award at the 6th SineKültür Interuniversity Short Film Festival held in Istanbul. Ahmet Toğaç, who also directed the film, received the Honorable Mention Award for Aç Açına at the award ceremony of the three-day festival.

Having won the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema, the Best Project at the Izmir International Short Film Festival, the Best Editing at the 11th Uşak Short Film Festival, the Special Jury Award at the 8th International Education Themed Short Film Festival and the Best Short Film at the Düzce Konuralp International Film Festival, Aç Açina has added another one to its list of awards.
Stating that she is happy that the story of Selma, an adolescent girl, who dreams of making pizza at home with her mother and little brother for her father's birthday and then going to the amusement park does not go as she wants, Eda Türkay expressed that she is happy with the appreciation and response of the audience and expressed that they are happy with the successful journey of the film during the festival process.
