Res. Asst. Eda Türkay from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema participated in the 35th Ankara Film Festival with her short film project Home Cooking, which she produced.
Home Cooking, which was among the 14 films selected for the finals from the applications, was screened on the second day of the festival. Home Cooking, which previously had its world premiere in the Netherlands at the Cinekid Festival, had its national premiere at the 35th Ankara Film Festival.
Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, who attended the festival with the film's director Ahmet Toğaç and one of the leading actors, Ömer Gökay Şanlıer, stated that they were happy to have the film's national premiere at a well-established festival such as the 35th Ankara Film Festival. He stated that Aç Açina, which emerged as a result of good teamwork, started its festival journey with pleasure and they wished it to continue like this. Türkay added that they enjoyed the screening, which took place in a sold-out hall, and stated that he also experienced the relationship of Ankara audiences with cinema on this occasion.
Director Ahmet Toğaç answered questions about how the film's journey began with an idea and the difficulties experienced on set in the question-and-answer session held with the audience after the screening. After the team photos were taken, the audience met in the foyer.
We congratulate Res. Asst. Eda Türkay and wish her continued success.
