The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), is looking forward to meeting prospective students during IGU Promotion Days.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is welcoming prospective students on the 17th floor of Block K during IGU Promotion Days. Chair of Department Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, Acting Chair of Department Asst. Prof. Rabiya Saltik Duvan, and faculty members Asst. Prof. Kemal Çipe, Res. Asst. Dr. Eda Türkay, and Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı expressed their pleasure in meeting prospective students and invited all those interested in specializing in the fields of cinema and television to visit the campus.

Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan stated that the interest shown during the promotion days was highly pleasing, and they shared with prospective students the department’s wide range of activities. He emphasized that the department’s symposiums, festivals, and professional sets sparked curiosity among students.

Asst. Prof. Rabiya Saltik Duvan highlighted that the questions from students regarding the academic staff, research, and classroom environment were valuable and that it was gratifying to see students visiting the department with such awareness and intention.

Res. Asst. Eda Türkay pointed out that they also provided information about career paths in the industry. She mentioned that the confusion some students feel about their potential specialization within the sector is resolved throughout the four-year education, and their career goals become clearer thanks to internship and on-set experiences before they even reach their final year.

Asst. Prof. Kemal Çipe, who informed students about practical courses, noted that they explained the difference between theory and practice and discussed the distinctive features that set their department apart from similar ones.

Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı responded to questions regarding technical opportunities such as equipment, studios, and labs. He explained that the demo lessons offered through workshops designed for prospective students help satisfy their curiosity even before making their final decision.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema invites prospective students to visit the campus for introductions and conversations.

Students who are currently out of town or unable to visit the campus for any reason can direct their questions to the department faculty via email or reach out through the official social media accounts of IGU’s Radio, Television and Cinema Department.
