Kayra Öcal, a third-year student at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television, and Cinema department, takes part in the shooting and editing team of the University's Communication Coordinator, and also works and produces individually on NFT. Reaching the masses by sharing his works on his social media accounts, Öcal talked about how he started his NFT career, what kind of productions he made and the effect of the Radio, Television, and Cinema education he received on his NFT career.
“This is how I would describe my NFT journey. I am a photography and video editor. No matter what equipment I could afford, I would never be able to recreate the utopian things in my dreams. I wanted to learn how to do these in the digital environment and got into the 3D modeling business. My pessimistic inner world inspires me during the production process. My NFT goal is to always produce better than my previous work. I'm moving forward with this goal no matter how long it takes. The fact that I studied in the Radio, Television, and Cinema departments has a great impact on this field. I'm getting more involved with movies and TV shows and it fuels my imagination.”
Öcal, who has been interested in NFT for a year and a half and produces an average of four to ten hours of work, underlined the fact that NFT is a new industry and stated that he thinks a career in this field is promising.
“His future is going to be huge. I think it will appear ahead of many websites and social media channels. I believe that the film industry can be involved in this field and that this situation will further expand the industry.”
Öcal finally advised people who are just starting to produce in the field of NFT.
“For those who will just start NFT business, I recommend them to examine and follow every professional designer, to be hungry for information and not to say 'I did it, I've succeeded', but to aim for continuous improvement.”
