Under the guidance of Deputy Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Deputy Dean Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, Head of Radio and Television Cinema Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker, Head of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Interior Architecture, Communication Design, Radio and Television Cinema. The meeting, which took place at 14.00-14.45 in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Fine Arts with the newly appointed academic staff, started with the opening speech of Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören.
Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp started her speech by conveying her congratulations to our newly appointed teachers. Then, she talked about the harmonious working environment of our academic staff to our new professors and explained the planned education model for the face-to-face education process that will start on September 30. She gave information about the online systems that should be used when face-to-face education is not possible according to the course of the pandemic process, and then talked about the quality system and rapid development process of Istanbul Gelişim University. In the new term, Head of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Zerrin Funda stated that we will move to our new campus where Ürük is involved in the design process and that we will continue education and training there in a more modern environment. She informed that in addition to education, extracurricular social activities are given importance and supported in order to support the social development of our students in our university.
After completing her speeches, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören took her place at the podium to make the presentation of the department. In the presentation, Gökçe Uzgören explained the student occupancy rates, the average score of the student evaluation surveys, the number of students enrolled with vertical transfer and horizontal transfer, the number of guest students in our faculty, the number of instructors according to their academic titles, the number of projects of our instructors, our new GSF logo, our realized social responsibility projects. , We gave information about the Istanbul Project, Winter School for High Schools, GSF Monthly Bulletin, Article Magazine, our exhibitions in Artstept, catalog work, GSF Design Festival and fall term faculty events.
After the presentation, all newly appointed lecturers introduced themselves one by one. The newly joined faculty members, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kasar, Asst. Prof. Dr. Parvin Heidari, Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Lecturer Hatice Özlem Yeşildal, Lecturer Esra Büyükdemir Karagöz, Lecturer Minel Kurtuluş, Res. Asst. Başak Lale, Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı briefly introduced themselves by talking about their careers in academia and the sector, and expressed their expectations and good wishes about the new term and school. The meeting came to an end after other faculty members, Asst. Prof. Dr. Murat Doğan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker and Prof. Dr. Aslı Albayrak, briefly introduced themselves and their departments.
