Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu talked about the atmosphere of uncertainty during the emergence of the video work titled “Yes This Is Me: Something Happened to Me Last Night and I Lost Sleep” and the effect of this atmosphere on the video:
“With the pandemic process, I went into new searches. I needed a space where I could convey my thoughts that I felt in my daily life but could not include in my other projects. This is how my process of videotaping the notes I wrote for the diary began. It was a new field for me, I both produced and learned. My production and learning process still continues, I think it will continue for many years (as long as I work). Yes, This is Me video was a good job with its name. We can say that it is a work in which I convey myself and my sleep-inducing thoughts. After I finished the video, I sent it to Artimu's exhibition Uncertainty upon the recommendation of a friend. The uncertainty created by the pandemic and the uncertainty in my daily routine came together. It was a pleasure to take part in such a beautiful event in the current process, albeit from afar.”
