Melek Çetinkaya, Tuğçe Çeşmeci and Sema Arslan, who won the first prize in the future communicators competition, used their 30-day internship right in the summer between June and September. The students, who completed their internships at TRT İç Yapımlar and TRT Radio, combined the first prize they won from the competition with their industry experience. During the internship, our students had the opportunity to meet important names in the sector, as well as gaining experience on subjects such as the shooting and production process, live radio broadcasting, copywriting and radio budgeting. We asked to the feelings and thoughts of our students, who are happy to do their internship at an important institution like TRT and express their satisfaction for getting the relevant opportunity...
Melek Çetinkaya, who continues her summer internship at TRT İç Yapımlar, shared her feelings and thoughts about the process:
“Winning first place in the Future Communicators competition was something that made us very happy. On this occasion, it was a great opportunity for TRT to provide internship opportunities. I met many names from the industry and had the opportunity to work with them. At the same time, meeting and teaming up with the producers of the programs I watched as a child was a spiritual experience for me. I learned not only the shooting processes but also the production phase of television broadcasting. I would like to thank the TRT team, my lecturers and my teammates who helped me discover the television world after the cinema.”
Tuğçe Çeşmeci, who continues her internship at TRT İç Yapımlar, also expressed her satisfaction with the process:
“Thanks to the TRT internship right I won with my teammates from the TRT Future Communicators competition, I started my internship at TRT İç Yapımlar on July 1, 2022. I had the opportunity to be in the programs of numerous channels, which are included in the internal productions. I met with both the producer and the director, professional names in their fields and learned how the program processes worked from the beginning to the end. I think this internship has given me a lot in every aspect and I feel very lucky in this regard.”
Continuing her internship at TRT Radio, Sema Arslan talked about her dreams and how she improved herself during her internship:
“When I was in high school, I always thought, 'What would it be like if I had my own radio show?' Therefore, it was a great chance for me to have the right to internship at TRT Istanbul Radio. I see and learn both live radio broadcasts, copywriting and radio budgeting on site. I have prepared recent contracts myself. Making progress on this made me happy. I would like to thank my family at TRT Istanbul Radio, my lecturers, and my teammates Melek Çetinkaya and Tuğçe Çeşmeci, who have always encouraged me.”
Melek Çetinkaya, Tuğçe Çeşmeci and Sema Arslan, who produced projects in the field of Podcast Broadcasting in the Digital Broadcasting category in the TRT Future Communicators Competition, focused on a leading woman in each episode in their broadcasts called
"Portrait of a Woman" (Kadının Portresi). They won the first prize and the right to do an internship at TRT with their project, which aims to tell the struggles of strong and successful women who have left their mark on the world, and to multiply and make inspiring stories visible.
