Health Journalism Panel was Held in the COVID-19 Pandemic!
As part of the interviews held by Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Radio, Television and Cinema Department, on April 6, the panel titled "Health Journalism in the Covid-19 Pandemic" was held online, moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker.
Fatma Demir TURGUT, who has been working as a journalist for a long time at TRT, and Işıl AçıkEL, who has been working as a journalist for a long time at ATV, attended the panel as invited speakers. Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin ILICAK AYDINALP, our faculty members and students attended.
In the panel, the situation of health journalism in our country with the Covid-19 pandemic and the effects and development of the Covid-19 process in journalism were discussed, while the latest situation in the pandemic and the vaccination process were also discussed. Fatma Demir TURGUT and Işıl Açıkel stated that there is information pollution in journalism during the pandemic period and gave tips on how we can prevent information pollution.
The panel, which lasted about 1 and a half hours, was very productive within the scope of the pandemic process and journalism, which is a very current issue and the focus of the whole world, with important information conveyed by experienced speakers, and finally, it was completed with questions and comments.
