Wednesday Workshops are known as event series organized by the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department. Previously, workshops under the titles of Cinematography with the participation of Berkan Dörtkardeş, Film Communication with the participation of Erdem Doğan, and On-Camera Acting with the participation of Önder Paker attracted great attention. The new workshop was held online under the title Film Industry and VFX Workshop with the participation of Digiflame founder Oğuz Öztürk.

Wednesday Workshops After External Partnership!

The Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema added a new one to its existing external stakeholders in the 2022-2023 academic year and signed an external stakeholder protocol with Digiflame. Radio, Television and Cinema Department, which decided to organize an event by the stakeholder agreement signed with Digiflame, which is one of the important companies of the sector and has accomplished important works in the field of visual effects and post-production, hosted Oğuz Öztürk, the founder of Digiflame, at Wednesday Workshops. The workshop, in which the faculty members and students of the department participated, took place online. The workshop, which attracted the attention of the students of the Department of Communication and Design in addition to the students of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, started with the opening speech of Emre Doğan, the head of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema. Digiflame founder Oğuz Öztürk talked about VFX applications, which is the main topic of the event, starting from the establishment story of the company. Explaining how VFX applications are made by companies such as Marvel, in Turkey and abroad, through questions from students, Öztürk also talked about the qualities that a good VFX expert should have through questions. Given the good news that they will realize film and TV series projects in the summer, Öztürk encouraged students to do internships to gain experience in post-production. The workshop, which proceeded with the intense interest of the students, ended after the questions were answered and thanks.

Thanks to Oğuz Öztürk for participating in the workshop and sharing his experiences with us.
