The eleventh event of the Stars in Vision series, organized by Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Radio, Television, and Cinema Department, was held on 16.12.2021 at the Faculty of Fine Arts TUSI Conference Hall. Producer Murat Aytekin and musician/music director Beyhan Aytekin were guests at the event moderated by Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu. At the event, the participants were informed about television and internet productions and the advertising industry.
At the event, musician and music director Beyhan Aytekin emphasized the change in advertising jingles:
“The old advertising jingles gave way to covers or short melodies. This caused the advertisements to be easily forgotten. While we all remember the ad jingles of our childhood, we soon forget the commercials shot today.”
Producer Murat Aytekin touched on the transition between television and digital platforms in his speech:
“The transition between television and the internet continues. This is reflected in both production and budgets. While the budget allocated to television advertisements is high, the budget allocated to internet advertisements is low, but in this transition period, we try to do television advertisement quality work with the internet advertising budget.”
At the end of the event, Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker presented plaques to Beyhan Aytekin and Murat Aytekin.
The Stars in Vision event series was held on Thursday, December 23. It will continue with an interview with the participation of Cengis ASİLTÜRK. The events are open to the students of our university and to all participants from outside the university who want to participate in the event.
