 Asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar, Filming of Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's Documentary About His Life and Artistic Works Has Begun


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Radio, Television and Cinema Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar shot the first part of Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's documentary about his life and artistic works.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Radio, Television and Cinema Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar, shot the first part of Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's documentary about his life and artistic works. In the shooting, which was held in the studio of the university, in which the third year students of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema also participated, the head of the department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker also took part.

In the shooting, in which the third year students of the Radio, Television and Cinema department took part, together with Asst. Prof. Dr.  Radife Akyıldız Ongar. Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker asked questions to Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır about his artistic works.  In addition to the conversation about Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's life and artistic works, the books that Yıldır wrote and edited were emphasized.

Influenced by Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's exhibition “The Horses of Erol Yıldır”, Ongar decided to shoot a documentary about his artistic works. He stated that he would touch on Chechen traditions and weddings.
 
Visiting and shooting the "Erol Yıldır's Horses" exhibition with his students, Asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar, stated that working with the students for the documentary, which is still being shot, gave her happiness, and that this work was also an important experience for the students.
 
In the documentary that will touch on Prof. Dr. Erol Yıldır's academic and artistic journey and his paintings, Asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar emphasized the importance of getting to know more people, both the artists who have worked in this field and continue to do so, and the cultures that preserve their originality.
