A New Event in Partnership with Internal and External Stakeholders!
Within the scope of the 9th International Uşak Short Film Festival, supported by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), a discussion event titled "It is very interesting that there are no female candidates among the best actors..." was held.
It is known that the 9th International Uşak Short Film Festival, supported by Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, took place on 13-21 December 2022, in Uşak between 13-17 December and in Istanbul on 19-21 December. The program, which was prepared with great devotion and meticulous work, was completed with great interest in both cities. Radio, Television and Cinema Department Head of Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan is on the board of directors of the festival, and the discussion event titled "It is very interesting that there are no female candidates among the best actors...", which was postponed due to the busy schedule and setbacks, was held on 28.04.2023.

The event "It is very interesting that there are no female candidates among the best actors.." was held with the contributions of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department external stakeholder Apart Art Association and the IGU FAF students, the internal stakeholder of the department that makes up the UFF Istanbul team. At the event, moderated by Zeynep Merve Uygun, the actor, director and writer Görkem Yeltan, screenwriter and director İffet Eren Danışman Boz, sound designer and composer Mine Pakel, actress and writer Nurdan Albamya İnce and producer Umut Eğitimci took part as speakers.
The event, which took place in the Post Office Beyoğlu in a very productive and highly instructive manner, was documented by the students of IGU FFA Radio, Television and Cinema Department. In the previous three-day program of the festival in Istanbul, the students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department and Communication and Design Department voluntarily joined the festival team and experienced the realization processes of a festival. During the three-day festival shoot, the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts worked with equipment belonging to the faculty. Expressing the support of both the faculty and the students at every opportunity, Emre Doğan stated that the event was very productive and enjoyable, and that they spent pleasant hours with the students after the event. Expressing that they once again remember how much they miss the classical university environment, which is not online or hybrid, Doğan thanked the students, the valuable members of the Apart Art Association, all the workers of the UFF and the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp.
