In the study, the development in the narrative structure of cinema from past to present was examined through D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation and Adam McKay's Don't Look Up. Birth of a Nation, which laid the foundations of the classical narrative structure, and Don't Look Up, an example of the hybrid narrative structure, were discussed; the effects of this transformation in the narrative structure on the audience were also interpreted.

We congratulate Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan and wish him continued success.
