2nd International Short Film, Video and Photography Symposium held!
The 2nd International Short Film, Video and Photography Symposium, organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, and supported by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, has been successfully completed.
The 2nd International Short Film, Video and Photography Symposium, held with the support of Istanbul Gelişim University and the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, presented a full program at the Kadıköy Barış Manço Cultural Center on October 25-26-27, 2024.
The symposium, which started with the opening speech of the symposium organizing committee chairman Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, hosted presentations and video art screenings by valuable academics working in the fields of short film, video and photography for three days. Kerem Yükseloğlu, Emre Ahmet Seçmen, Ulaş Işıklar, Deniz Tortum, Özlem Şimşek and Eser Selen moderated the symposium, which attracted great interest. Academicians provided information about their work in the sessions titled “Artificial and Virtual Possibilities”, “Short and Painless”, “Between Game and Film”, “Documentary and Interactive Form”, “Possibilities of Still Images” and “Digital Landscapes”.
The symposium, which was attended by students from the Radio, Television and Cinema Department in the organization and shooting teams, had a successful three-day event.
