11th International Uşak Short Film Festival Held!
The 11th International Uşak Short Film Festival, organized under the direction of Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Department Head of Radio, Television and Cinema Department, Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), has ended after two full days.
The 11th International Uşak Short Film Festival, supported by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Department Head of Radio, Television and Cinema Department, and organized under the external stakeholder of the department, Apart Sanat Derneği, took place with a full program at the Kadıköy Barış Manço Culture Center on December 14-15, 2024.
The program, where student short films and national short films were screened on the first day, continued with the screening of international short films on the second day and ended with an award ceremony. The festival, which saw great interest, featured 10 films in the national student film competition selection, 6 in the national short film competition selection, 13 in the national short film competition finalists category, 3 in the national student film competition finalists category, and 30 in the international short film competition selection. Two short films were also shown as closing films at the award ceremony. Following the screenings, awards were given for best film, best director, best director of photography, best art director, best script, best editing, best sound design, best special effects, best film score, best make-up, best lead actor, and best supporting actor.
The festival's shooting and organization teams included students from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema.
