The Application Period for the IGA ART Art Projects Contest has been Extended!

The deadline for participation in the IGA ART Art Projects Competition, which was held for the second time this year by IGA Istanbul Airport, has been extended until Sunday, June 16.

IGA Istanbul Airport, Turkey's gateway to the world, continues its mission of being an art center where different cultures meet and interact, as well as being the most important global transfer center in the region. One of these projects is the IGA ART Art Projects Competition, which aims to bring together the cultural memory of Anatolian geography with the identity of Istanbul blended with culture and art. The deadline for the competition, which offers a highly democratic model by opening the public space to competitions and which was held for the second time this year, has been extended until 16 June due to the earthquake disaster that shook our country.

The nine-person selection committee of GA ART, led by painter and academician Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan, includes names from painting to sculpture, from architecture to criticism, and from curatorship to academics. The selection committee, consisting of Prof. Dr. Marcus Graf, Mehmet Ali Güveli, Prof. Gülveli Kaya, Deniz Odabaş, Seçkin Pirim, Murat Tabanlıoğlu, Seyhun Topuz, and Nazlı Pektaş, join forces to produce and carry out projects with an approach that considers social and social benefit.

There are no material and technical limitations in the GA ART Art Projects Competition. The main criterion is that the material and technique of the application or ready-made work are permanent and applicable within the framework of the physical conditions of the proposed project area. The work, which will be winner of the competition, will be entitled to receive the grand prize of 2 million TL, as well as the opportunity to meet with millions of local and foreign viewers. A participation fee of 50 thousand TL will be paid to the project owners who are evaluated in the second stage of the competition.
