The Digital Internship Program Continues in the Interior Architecture Department.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture, internship processes are conducted entirely through a digital platform. This system, where students prepare their internship logbooks electronically and upload them to OBIS as a single PDF file, prioritizes sustainability.

Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture, continues its contemporary educational approach, which supports the academic and professional development of students, through its digital infrastructure in internship processes. Within the framework of the digital internship model, which ensures transparency in the process, internship acceptances and evaluations are carried out entirely in a digital environment.

Within this application, physical printed internship logbook submissions are not accepted; the entire process is conducted electronically and completed digitally through the Student Information System (OBIS).

Principles for Preparing and Submitting Digital Internship Logbooks
The basic principles applied in the digital system to ensure that students complete their internship processes completely and in accordance with academic criteria are as follows:
• Academic Writing Style: At least one paragraph of explanation must be written for each day of internship. The prepared texts must be free from personal expressions, written in a passive narrative style, and in accordance with academic standards. • Visual Support and Format: Logbooks are expected to be supported by visuals that directly reflect the work performed during the day. Photographs, technical drawings, or screenshots related to the day are added to the page immediately after the explanatory text.
• Single File Submission via OBIS: When the internship period is completed, all documents and current content are compiled into a single PDF format and uploaded directly to the OBIS system.
Both Digital Competence and Environmental Sustainability
The digital internship system, which eliminates the bureaucracy and paper waste in traditional internship logbook submission processes, improves students' competencies in reporting, digital document management, and academic writing.
Thanks to this infrastructure that blends digitalization with environmental responsibility, the Interior Architecture Department continues to prepare its students for the sector as both well-equipped professionals who effectively use modern technologies and individuals with a high level of sustainability awareness.
