The academic staff of the Department of Interior Architecture, which is the third
Department of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts with the highest number of
students continues to increase day by day. Asst. Prof. Dr. Amil Faruk Gezen, who was
appointed to the faculty and started to teach our department students, completed his
undergraduate education at Sakarya University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2013.
After completing his master's degree at Beykent University, Design and Construction
Management Programme, he received his PhD degree from the same university's Architecture
Doctorate Programme. Asst. Prof. Dr. Amil Faruk Gezen taught IMI454 coded Design and
Branding, IMI225 coded Structure and Construction and IMI455 coded Materials of the
Future courses in the autumn term of the 2023-2024 academic year.

lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Amil Faruk Gezen shared his thoughts about his duty in the
department as follows:
" I hope that I will contribute to their preparation for the sector as a new designer by
sharing the experiences I have gained in various fields of the building sector, where I have
worked for many years in parallel with my academic career process since my undergraduate
graduation, with our students in the dynamic environment of Istanbul Gelisim University,
Faculty of Fine Arts."
