The exhibition was attended by the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Assoc. Prof. Sezgin Savaş, faculty members and students of the Department of Interior Architecture. The exhibition included models completed by a total of 59 students from the Department of Interior Architecture in the 2024-2025 Fall semester, within the scope of the IMI233 Furniture I course. The Furniture from Past to Present Exhibition expected students taking the Furniture-I course to be able to apply the gains they learned in the course in daily life. As a result of this application, the main purpose of the exhibition was for the interior architecture student to gain equipment and experience in furniture design and production in their professional life.
As part of the course, wooden models of furniture products reflecting the civilization and period determined by the student groups formed for the exhibition were made in various scales, primarily 1/1. The exhibition consisting of these models is organized with the aim of presenting the designs of the students' products. The exhibition was curated by Asst. Prof. Dr Gökhan Balcıoğlu and managed by Lecturer Dilan Selamet.
We would like to thank all our academic staff and students who contributed to this valuable exhibition.
