Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Graphic Design Department Instructor Its member Nuri Sezer, famous calligraphy artist Dr. Instructor He curated the exhibition of its member Serdar Kipdemir. The interest in the exhibition opened at J Blok Gelisim Art Gallery was quite high. The exhibition, which is especially watched by the students of the Graphic Design Department, will be open to art lovers until March 31, 2022.
In his opening speech, artist and academician Kipdemir mentioned that calligraphy is an art that can be learned and talked about the contribution of patience and selfless work to his art. The artist, who introduced the materials he used while applying the calligraphy technique to the students, stated that the most important thing is to choose the one that suits the artist candidate rather than the variety of the material at the beginning. After Kipdemir's speech, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Dr. Instructor Member Murat Doğan and the curator of the exhibition Dr. Instructor Member Nuri Sezer thanked the artist and presented a certificate of participation.
Dr. Instructor Who is Serdar Kipdemir Member?
He was born in 1965 in Malatya.
He graduated from the Turkish Naval Forces Command in 1986 as an Engineer Technician Petty Officer.
He graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Economics in 1996.
He retired voluntarily in September 2006 by completing his duty in the TAF in order to continue his professional work on the Art of Fine Lettering.
In 2007, he opened the Serdar KİPDEMİR Fine Writing Center (Malatya), which he dreamed of for the first time.
In 2008, he worked as a Calligraphy teacher at Malatya Public Education Center.
Between 2012 and 2014, he taught Calligraphy at the Police Academy (Gölbaşı/Ankara).
In 2013, he received approval from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Copyrights, that his calligraphy works are considered as works of art in accordance with the law no. 5846.
In 2016, he completed his Master's Degree at Istanbul Arel University, Institute of Social Sciences, Graphic Design Department.
On 01 October 2018, he started to work as a calligraphy teacher in Çankaya Municipality Esat and Emek Çankaya Houses.
He successfully completed the Graphic Design Proficiency in Art (PhD) Program at Istanbul Arel University Graduate Education Institute on August 17, 2020.
On 21 June 2021, at Istanbul Ayvansaray University Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. He started his career as a lecturer.
