HISTORY

Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts started its education activities in 2011 with 4 undergraduate programs, namely “Graphic Design ”, “Fashion and Textile Design”, “Interior Architecture” and “Communication Design”.

 In our faculty, we provide continuous education and development by taking into consideration the national and international dynamics and offer education opportunities to our students with international standards. 3 new departments were established in 2015-2016 academic year. These departments are “Interior Architecture and Environmental Design”, “Cinema and Television” and “Gastronomy and Culinary Arts”. Now, the total number of undergraduate programs in our faculty is 7. Our faculty has established a balance between theory and practice in all programs and we are planning to establish two new departments in the following academic year: “Acting” and “Conservation and Repair of Cultural Heritages”.

 “Department of Graphic Design”, which is one of the 4-year undergraduate programs of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, continues its education activities with a wide range of creativity and vision and professional academic staff where the latest developments in the world and changes in art are integrated into the curriculum.

In addition, our students are offered the opportunity to have different experiences at home and abroad via our exchange programs. Successful students can participate in national and international exchange programs such as Farabi, Mevlana, Erasmus and complete a certain part of their studies at universities in Turkey and abroad for one semester or more.
