Message from the Head of the Department

Dear Students,

Welcome to the Department of Graphic Design at Istanbul Gelisim University.

Our department is committed to educating future designers through a comprehensive educational approach that integrates art, design, and technology. Today, graphic design extends far beyond aesthetic production; it has become a dynamic discipline encompassing visual communication, digital media, user experience, motion graphics, and emerging communication technologies.

Accordingly, our curriculum combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling students to develop creativity, critical thinking, research skills, and innovative approaches to solving design challenges. We believe that discovering individual potential, fostering intellectual curiosity, and embracing lifelong learning are fundamental to becoming successful design professionals.

Graphic design plays a vital role in helping brands, institutions, and individuals communicate effectively with their audiences. From corporate identity and editorial design to packaging, digital platforms, user interface design, and motion graphics, the profession offers a broad range of creative opportunities.
