The “Sen Varsan Hayat Var” online group exhibition, organized as part of March 8 International Women's Day, consists of poster designs prepared by students within the Graphic Design Studio course led by Lect. İrem Fulya Özkan from the Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Graphic Design (GRA). The works, developed around the theme of women, meet the audience in a digital environment with design approaches that emphasize the existence, labor, and visibility of women in social life.
Within the scope of the exhibition, selected poster designs from student works were printed in postcard format and presented as gifts to the female employees working at the university. This practice aims to ensure that the design works featured in the exhibition do not remain solely within the exhibition environment but also enter circulation in daily life. At the same time, the project contributes to making students' design productions visible in a corporate context and conveys a meaningful message of gratitude and solidarity to the female staff working at the institution on the occasion of March 8 International Women's Day.
Highlighting the social awareness and communication dimensions of graphic design education, this application serves as an example that supports the transformation of students' design works into a public communication tool.
