Prof. Erol Kılıç’s Exhibition "Firmans and Mystical Projections" met art enthusiasts at Gelisim Art Gallery
The painting exhibition "Firmans and Mystical Projections from Past to Present," featuring the works of Prof. Dr. Erol Kılıç, a faculty member at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University’s Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture, opened at the Gelisim Art Gallery of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU). The exhibition, curated by Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu, a faculty member of the Graphic Design Department, was realized through the collaboration of the Art and Design Application and Research Center (SATMER) and the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA). The exhibition opened on November 12 and can be visited until December 12.
: Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues to host significant events in the field of art and design. A major exhibition opening was held at the Gelisim Art Gallery, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) and the Art and Design Application and Research Center (SATMER).
The exhibition, titled "Firmans and Mystical Projections from Past to Present," showcases remarkable works by Prof. Dr. Erol Kılıç, a faculty member at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University. Prof. Kılıç interprets the historical and cultural depth of the rooted Firman (Ottoman imperial decree) texts through a mystical and unique visual language. His works successfully and harmoniously combine traditional Turkish art forms with contemporary painting techniques.
The exhibition was curated by Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu, a faculty member of the Graphic Design Department at Istanbul Gelisim University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. This important event fosters inter-university artistic interaction, encourages academic cultural exchange, and promotes a vision of producing joint projects.
The opening ceremony, held at the Gelisim Art Gallery on November 12 at 14:00, saw intense participation from the IGU academic and administrative staff, our students, and art enthusiasts.
The "Firmans and Mystical Projections from Past to Present" exhibition is open to all art and history enthusiasts and can be viewed at the Gelisim Art Gallery until December 12.
