 Lect. Dr. İrem Fulya Özkan Presented a Paper at the 2nd Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies Symposium at Haliç University.


Lect. Dr. İrem Fulya Özkan, a faculty member at the Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Graphic Design (GRA), participated in the “II. Interdisciplinary Women's Studies Symposium at Haliç,” hosted by Haliç University. Presenting a paper within the framework of this year’s theme, "Woman and Culture," Özkan contributed to academic knowledge production by analyzing the visibility and meaning-making processes of women's representations in advertising designs within the fields of cultural production.


Hosted by Haliç University, the “II. Interdisciplinary Women's Studies Symposium at Haliç” was held this year under the theme of “Woman and Culture.” Aiming to address the subject of women from an interdisciplinary perspective, the symposium sought to enrich academic knowledge production through pluralistic, critical, and comparative approaches by opening women's experiences and representations in different fields of culture to discussion.

Lect. Dr. İrem Fulya Özkan, a faculty member of the Istanbul Gelişim University , Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphic Design, participated in the symposium with a paper presentation. In her study, Özkan contributed to the evaluation of women's studies in an artistic and cultural context by addressing the visibility and meaning-making processes of women's representations in advertising designs within the spheres of cultural production.
