The “Earth Calling” World Environment Day International Poster Design Exhibition, organized by the STA Exhibition Platform in collaboration with Istanbul Gelisim University, was successfully completed online as part of the World Environment Day celebrations on June 5, 2026.

Aiming to raise environmental awareness and draw attention to current ecological issues, the exhibition brought together designers from different countries on a common platform. Open to international participation, the event highlighted the potential of poster design to promote social awareness and encourage sensitivity toward environmental challenges. Through their works, participants addressed some of today’s most pressing global issues from creative and critical perspectives.

Under the theme “Earth Calling,” the exhibition featured posters focusing on climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, sustainable living, consumption habits, waste management, and the relationship between humans and nature. The exhibited works emphasized that environmental problems are not only scientific or political concerns but also cultural and social responsibilities shared by all.

Bringing together contributions from various regions of the world, the exhibition demonstrated how design can serve as a universal language capable of fostering collective awareness of environmental issues. The works encouraged viewers not only to appreciate visual creativity but also to reflect on environmental challenges, question existing practices, and consider their individual responsibilities toward a more sustainable future.

Presented in an online format, the exhibition eliminated geographical barriers and provided international accessibility, allowing environmentally conscious designers from different cultural backgrounds to share their perspectives with a wider audience. In this respect, the event served as an important platform highlighting the role of art and design in promoting social responsibility, environmental awareness, and sustainability.

The exhibited posters once again demonstrated that poster design is more than an aesthetic practice; it can also function as an informative, critical, and transformative communication tool in addressing contemporary social and environmental issues.

The organizers expressed their appreciation to all participants who contributed their works to the exhibition and emphasized that their thoughtful and responsible designs made a valuable contribution to increasing environmental awareness.
