Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Graphic Design Department Assoc. Erol Yıldır's new book, 'The Image of the Horse in Western Painting from Romanticism to the Present', was published by IGU Publications and brought to our cultural world. The work, which deals with the artists who have used the 'horse' image in their works throughout history, with a panoramic and chronological view, is the author's second book published by our university. In the 'Introduction' article of YILDIR, which is the continuation of the first book titled 'The Image of Horses in European Painting from Uccello to Gericault', which was published by Istanbul Gelişim University Press in 2017, our esteemed professor from the Graphic Design Department, Prof. Dr. İsmet Çavuşoğlu makes the following striking statements about the work:
“The book, which can be read in one breath and supported by plenty of visuals, is an important work on the horse image, which deals with the history of painting. It is a comprehensive resource book that will shed light on students in art education and artists in art production in every respect.
