Abstract Proceedings Booklet of the International Symposium and Group Exhibition on Artificial Intelligence Applications published
The Abstract Proceedings Booklet of the “International Symposium and Group Exhibition on Artificial Intelligence Applications,” organized online on August 17–18, 2026, in collaboration with Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), and STA Congress, has been published. Edited by Lect. Dr. İrem Fulya Özkan, the booklet features academic studies addressing generative AI, creative production, education, energy modelling, choreographic design, visual representation, and digital production. The group exhibition held alongside the symposium also brought together artistic works exploring the reflections of AI in creative practices. Published with an ISBN, the booklet provides a lasting academic record of the studies presented during the event.
Open to international participation, the symposium and group exhibition provided an interdisciplinary platform for discussing the impact of artificial intelligence, generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven computational methods on scientific research, art, design, education, engineering, and cultural production. Bringing academic papers and artistic productions together under the same event, the organization addressed not only the technical dimensions of technological developments but also current discussions surrounding human creativity, ethical responsibility, originality, copyright, verifiability, and human oversight.
The papers presented during the symposium examined the transformation brought about by artificial intelligence across various disciplines through a range of case studies and research approaches. The booklet includes studies focusing on creative ecosystems in the digital age, the use of generative artificial intelligence in the social sciences, the pedagogical roles of AI models in music education, the assessment of wind energy potential through artificial neural networks, interactive evolutionary approaches to choreographic design, the reproduction of classical fairy tales through generative artificial intelligence, and the relationship between generative AI and photogrammetry in PBR material production.
The group exhibition, which constituted another component of the event, brought the visual and artistic applications of artificial intelligence into the same context as academic discussions. In this way, the event created a shared space for interaction between research and artistic production at theoretical, technical, and creative levels.
Published under ISBN 978-625-90026-6-8, the Abstract Proceedings Booklet provides a lasting record of the academic studies presented at the symposium while also serving as a reference source for future academic and artistic research on artificial intelligence applications.
With the publication of the studies presented during the event as an academic record, the International Symposium and Group Exhibition on Artificial Intelligence Applications completed a process that brought together researchers and artists from different disciplines and contributed to interdisciplinary discussions on the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
