The 6th Issue of the Faculty of Fine Arts News and Events Bulletin is Published!

The 6th issue of the Faculty of Fine Arts News and Events Bulletin, published every two months by the Communication and Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), has been published.
Faculty of Fine Arts News and Events Bulletin is a faculty bulletin published bimonthly in which the activities and news of our faculty members and students are shared on a department-based basis. During the pandemic process, the last two issues were published every 3 months.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Melis BOYACI and Res. Asst. Büşra KAMACIOĞLU is the editor of the journal, whose preparatory stages are conducted by Melek GÜLŞEN and Melike SÖALP, students of the Department of Communication and Design. While the main purpose of publishing a newsletter is to be a medium where students can take an active part, another purpose is to share the events and news in our faculty with our faculty members and students.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Melis BOYACI, Head of the Department of Communication and Design:

“Our main purpose in publishing the newsletter is to put forward a project where students put what they have learned at university into practice and gain experience before they start working life, and which they can put on their CVs. We are also happy to publish a publication on behalf of our faculty in the study we carry out with pleasure”.

Melek Gülşen, our 3rd-year student at the Department of Communication and Design, who edited the content of the newsletter and prepared it for publication in the most appropriate format, shared her thoughts:

“We are on the air with the 6th issue of this project, which I have been the content editor of for 1 year. Being in the kitchen of the business and following the processes closely gives me special sympathy for the work that comes out when all the waters have calmed down. It is a very good opportunity for my future business life to brainstorm with my designer friend Melike SÖALP and to communicate with the academicians of our faculty about the news in the preparation of each new issue. After collecting all the news and starting the design process, we expect the following message to evolve the job to the best with the revisions received: 'Good luck to everyone, it's very nice.' Here is another issue that we have finished with pleasure. I will continue to continue my studies with pleasure as a part of the Gsf Development team in 2021, I thank my department professors for giving me this opportunity and wish our success to continue.”

Melike SÖALP, a 2nd-year student of the Department of Communication and Design, who took care of the entire graphic design process of the bulletin and took the responsibility herself, expressed her thoughts with the following words:

“Being part of the GSF Development team is a very exciting experience for me. It is a project that attracts me more and more in every issue and becomes more integrated with us at every step from production to publication. In addition to the pleasure of the production process, the feedback we receive shows us how important the job we do is. As a student, I am aware that taking a role in such a project on behalf of our faculty is very important for our career. For this reason, as a Communication and Design student, I would like to thank my department professors. Together, with pleasure, to nice numbers...”
