 Great Interest in the Film Screening of Life Guide for the Dead!

The movie Life Guide for the Dead was screened at the film screening event organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema continues to organize film screening events as well as event series such as "Short and...", "Wednesday Workshops", "Masters" in the 2023-2024 spring semester. In the film screening events, which attracted great interest from students, this time Barış Fert's 2023 feature film, Life Guide for the Dead, was screened. After the screening, a conversation was held with the director Barış Fert and the film's make-up artist Hazal Tanrıverdi, moderated by Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu.

Director Barış Fert's first short film, Life Guide for the Dead, which had its world premiere at the Istanbul Film Festival, tells the story of Deniz, who goes after a mysterious software in Istanbul.

The screening, which took place at IGU Firnas Auditorium, was met with interest by the students of the Radio, Television and Cinema Department. After the screening, students had the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the film's director Barış Fert and make-up artist Hazal Tanrıverdi and ask their questions. Director Barış Fert, who shared his experiences about the pre-production, production and post-production processes of the film under the moderation of Lecturer Kerem Yükseloğlu, then answered the questions of the students. The screening ended after the thank you speech by Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan and the presentation of a plaque to Barış Fert.
