 The Tenth of the Stars in Vision Series was held with the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz!


The tenth event of the Stars in Vision series, organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television, and Cinema department, moderated by Kerem Yükseloğlu, with the participation of Asst. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz, 'I Have an Idea for a Series, How Will I Write? It was held with the title of “I Wrote But How Will I Present”.


Organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television, and Cinema department, the tenth event of the Stars in Vision series was held on 15.12.2021 at the Faculty of Fine Arts TUSI Conference Hall. The event, moderated by Kerem Yükseloğlu, was attended by a screenwriter and academician asst. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz was the guest. At the event, participants were given information on how to present an idea and turn it into a scenario.
 
It was focused on how the screenwriters of the TV series were affected by this process, as digital platforms became widespread. Discussions were held on topics such as whether the person watching the series is the story or the character, the necessity of having an iconic character in the story, and the effect of the side stories on the main story.
 
Advising on what kind of discipline is required in the stage of putting ideas into practice, how to prepare a project file, and how to present the idea, Asst. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz shared information about the audience of the series. He shared his comments on how to understand whether the plot is sufficient when turning a story into a screenplay, and what the extent and limits of moral and ethical responsibility are when writing a screenplay. Giving information about what should be in a series file, Asst. Prof. Dr. Perihan Taş Öz answered the questions from the students after the interview.
 
At the end of the event, Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Radio, Television, and Cinema department vice-chairman asst. Prof. Dr. Radife Akyıldız Ongar presented a plaque to the guest.
 
The Stars in Vision event series was held on Thursday, December 23. It will continue with an interview with the participation of Cengis ASİLTÜRK. The events are open to the students of our university and to all participants from outside the university who want to participate in the event.
