Great Interest in the Ustalar Event Hosted by Bülent Sağlam!

Ustalar, the event series that attracted great attention and started to be organized by the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema in 2022-2023, aims to bring experienced names of the industry together with students. In the first session of the Ustalar event, actor Demir Parscan was the guest, and in the second session, writer and director Bülent Sağlam was the guest.

Bülent Sağlam, who stands out as a writer and the author of many documentaries, talked about the literary education he received, the importance of speaking well, writing and reading, how writing practice can improve, and how being a good filmmaker depends on being a good writer, through various anecdotes and experiences.

At the event moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Sağlam answered the questions posed by Doğan. Explaining examples of how students can practice writing, Sağlam stated that everyone who produces should be open to criticism and that the way to be capable of interpreting criticism well is to be a good reader.

Sağlam also answered the students' questions and shared the poem he wrote with the students at the end of the activity.
