Eda Türkay's Short Film "Kusur", Produced, is a Finalist in Izmir!
The short film "Kusur", produced by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, became a finalist in the Film LAB section of the 24th Izmir International Short Film Festival.
The pre-production support search process has begun for the short film "Kusur," produced by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, who also contributed to the screenplay. The film will be directed by Pelin Büyüktaş. Continuing to submit applications to support platforms, Eda Türkay expressed that they received the first positive news from Izmir. "Kusur," selected as a finalist in the production support competition at the 24th Izmir International Short Film Festival's Film LAB section, has officially started its festival journey.
Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, sharing the news that they are one of the ten projects that made it to the finals in the national fiction category, mentioned that they will present their project to the jury by attending the festival. She expressed their happiness with the process and wished for the film's journey to be filled with success and good news. Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, who will participate in the festival taking place between November 14-19, emphasized the value of returning from festivals with awards. She noted that in the short film industry, even if no award is received, reaching the finalist stage brings important connections due to festival participation. Therefore, she stated that they would leave the festival happy under any circumstances.
It's worth mentioning that Res. Asst. Eda Türkay previously won the first prize in the Film LAB section of the 22nd Izmir International Short Film Festival with her previous short film project, "Aç Açına." We wish Res. Asst. Eda Türkay and her team were successful in their presentation on November 17.
