In the January issue of the international, indexed, peer-reviewed Social Mentality And Researcher Thinkers Journal, which publishes monthly studies in the field of social sciences, Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Departments Asst. Prof. Cansın İlayda Çetin's article titled "Architectural Photography and Construction of Modern Architecture; The Example of Sisyphus Photograph Exhibition” has been published.
In her article Asst. Prof. Cansın İlayda Çetin discussed the series of photographs she personally took of the Sancaklar Mosque, an award-winning structure designed by Emre Arolat Architecture, with the perspective of constructing an image by reconstructing the architectural structures in two dimensions with different perspectives.
Asst. Prof. Cansın İlayda Çetin's article is as follows;
“The concept of image construction is developed by reconstructing architectural structures in 2 dimensions with different perspectives. The purpose of this process is to seek photographic tools and methods of thinking about architecture, re-expressing architecture, and saying a word about architecture. In terms of content, it covers the process of photographic reproduction of known spaces in an unconventional way. Thus, it is aimed not only to use basic visual production tools such as cameras and cameras, but also to have hardware information that will increase aesthetics and expressive power. In the light of these, the aim of this study is to evaluate the series of personally taken photographs of the Sancaklar Mosque, the award-winning structure designed and presented by Emre Arolat Architecture, from this perspective.”
