Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, successfully passed the Ph.D. thesis monitoring jury held within the scope of Bahçeşehir University, Graduate School, Architecture and Design (English) Doctorate Program. The jury, in which the spatial reflections of the management styles and social events experienced in Beyoğlu in the 21st century were discussed, first started with Öztürk's presentation. After the presentation, the jury continued with the opinions of the jury members and discussion on the subject.
“The Ph.D. thesis is a long journey.”
Expressing her views after the thesis monitoring jury, Öztürk emphasized that she was very excited because it was the first thesis monitoring jury and that the valuable opinions of the jury members were very important in terms of guiding her at this critical point. Stating that her doctoral thesis is a long journey, Öztürk stated that she thanked her Thesis Advisor asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Varon, stood by her with all her support in the first step she took in this long journey. Expressing that the subject of the thesis will gradually deepen in the next monitoring juries, and therefore studies should be intensified, Öztürk added that she is excitedly waiting for where her doctoral thesis journey will take her.
