2nd-year student Nouran Aboulhassan participated as an internal stakeholder attended the department meeting of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) on June 9, 2023, attended by Vice President of Department Lecturer İbrahim Erol and Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı.
“I like to see our progress as the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English)”
Nouran, who voiced the problems of herself and the students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) throughout the whole process, expressed the problems she identified in the department by saying, "If some of our classrooms change, we will listen to lectures much more efficiently." Stating that she enjoyed studying in the first English-language department of the faculty, Nouran said, "We demand that the pool of elective courses that we will have to take next year in the department be expanded and that extracurricular activities should be increased and diversified," and expressed the expectations of the students from the department. Stating that later, we can establish a club of Turkish interior architecture departments, similar to the English version, Nouran expressed the current complaints of the department students by saying, "I like to see our development as a department, we can be much better."

Vice President of Department Lecturer İbrahim Erol talked about the department's plans for the next stages at the beginning of the meeting and underlined the department's potential by saying "We are new as a department, but we have a high potential to develop and become a much stronger department". Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı, on the other hand, stated that he was already following the problems of his students closely and emphasized the importance of the subject by saying, "It is very important that the problems of the students are invited to the meetings in this way and listened to".
Thanks to Nouran Aboulhassan for attending the meeting. In the upcoming process, the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) will continue to invite students to internal stakeholder meetings, enabling them to contribute to the development of the department.
