 The First of the Come Tell About My Job Event Series Was Held with the Participation of Cinematographer Uğur İçbak!


Organized and moderated by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Communication and Design Department, Assoc. Dr. Nagihan Çakar Bikiç's "Come, Tell About My Job" series of events started on Tuesday, October 19, with a talk titled "Aerial Shots in the World and Turkey" with the participation of Cinematographer Uğur İçbak.


Organized by Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Communication and Design Department, the series of events “Come Tell Me About My Work”, with the participation of Uğur İçbak, one of the important cinematographers of Turkey, and Assoc. Dr. It started with the moderation of Nagihan Çakar Bikiç.
 
The first event of the "Come and Tell About My Job", organized for our students to meet with the leading representatives of the sector and to follow the sector's works closely, was held at the IGU GSF conference hall on Tuesday, 19 October at 15:30. The cinematographer Uğur İçbak, who participated in the first day of the "Come Tell About My Job" event series, worked as the cinematographer for films such as Bandit, Av Season, Organize İşler, Anatolian Eagles, received 2 Golden Orange and one SİYAD awards during his student years, and teaches "lighting techniques" at universities. It is a very valuable name.
 
“Aerial Filming in the World and in Turkey” was discussed as part of the “Come Tell Me About My Job” event, in which Uğur İçbak, one of Turkey's most important cinematographers, was a guest. The "Come Tell About My Job" event was organized by the Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Nail Öztaş's opening speech and Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin started with the presentation of Ilıcak Aydınalıp. The first half of the interview was shaped on the basis of Uğur İçbak's career, his adventure as a cinematographer and his personal perspective on cinema. Uğur İçbak showed his audience that his passion for cameras and airplanes dates back to his childhood years and that he even made camera and airplane models from matchsticks.
 
In the second half of the talk, the leading name of aerial photography in our country, Uğur İçbak, made a presentation and conveyed information on cinematography, drone, helicopter and aircraft shooting in the world and in Turkey. Mr. Uğur İçbak stated that aerial photography and also cinema are crazy jobs and said that there will be no "can't" or "can't" things in this profession. “Expand your horizons. Don't be limited to camera arm, helicopter, drone. You can even go to space if you want. Do not recognize borders”. Mr. Uğur İçbak described cinematography as “the person trying to make the director's dream come true”. He said that there is no untapped angle in the cinema, and that's why it is necessary to constantly seek a new angle, a position. Mr. İçbak exemplified this situation from the movie Organize İşler and said, “How can I open the sunset scene, which has been done hundreds of times, differently?” He said he was looking for the answer to his question.
 
At the end of his speech, a short question and answer was given and Mr. Uğur İçbak gave some advice to our students regarding the cinema industry.
 
After his pleasant speech, Uğur İçbak was given a speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF) Prof. Dr. A plaque by Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp and Deputy Dean of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences (FEAS) Dr. Instructor Flowers were presented by its member Yeşim Kaya Koçyiğit.
