In the first half of the two-hour course, Res. Ast. Zeynep Abacı talked about the theoretical application methods of storyboard techniques, their importance and their role in the filmmaking process. Defining the storyboard as a "finished movie", Abacı emphasized that this method is as important as a prospectus in terms of reading the project. Stating that the basis of communication begins with 'seeing', Abacı said that all disciplines should receive basic drawing techniques and basic art education in order to reflect the expression in a healthy way. As students of the Cinema-Television Department, you will be able to work as a future director, screenwriter, producer, etc. Emphasizing the importance of visuality and the importance of visual expression of ideas, Abacı talked about the concept of "Storyboard Artist", which is accepted as a profession abroad, and talked about the importance of "Storyboard Techniques" in the sector to students who want to move into this field.
In the second half of the course, Abacı talked about basic drawing techniques, points to be considered in figure drawing and anatomical proportions so that students could practice, and practiced with the students. After visually conveying the basic principles of figure drawing, information such as axle and rakursi, he shared information on how to transfer a frontal, profile and rear view figure to paper. After the students put the knowledge they have acquired into practice, Abacı touched on the subject of interiors and angles, and showed practically the subject of how they can reflect an interior on a storyboard. Abacı, who provided guidance on how to transfer the perspective change of a space depending on the camera angles to the storyboard frames, applied simultaneously with the students.
